What You Should
Do With Your Pets
|
 |
 |
|
|
You
should make plans before an emergency for taking
your pets with you if you need to evacuate. Most
emergency shelters will not accept pets.
They will only allow service animals, such as
dogs used by visually impaired people.
You should contact friends or relatives in other
areas to see if you may bring your pets to their
homes in the case of an emergency or take them
to “pet-friendly” hotels. To find
Pet-Friendly hotels - you can link to www.google.com and
type in "pet-friendly hotels."
Link to the Kings County section on Animal
Disaster Preparedness and Safety for more information
on what to do with your pets during an emergency.
We will be developing a Complete Animal Preparedness
Section in the near future. |
