an emergency: Get a Kit, Make a Plan,
Be Informed and Get Involved. This September,
during National Preparedness Month, please

Make
a Connection...
|
|
|
|
| Complete an emergency contact card
and make copies for each member
of your family to carry with them.
Choose an emergency contact who
lives outside your area since it
may be easier to call long distance
after a disaster. |
 |
Also, be sure to have a landline in
your home and a phone that works without
electricity since cellular phones may
not be in service during a disaster or
they may be overloaded. It's always good
to have a back-up plan.
I
have attached a few sample contact
forms that you may want to use in your
planning process. Find out which form
works best for you and share you information
with other family members to make sure
all have the most current information
on hand.
