Earthquakes. Seems like there are a lot more of them doesn’t it? Most of them have been in other countries. Today, August 23, 2011, a 5.8 magnitude earthquake happened in Virginia (D.C. area). As I watched the news at home, all the residents there that were being interviewed had never felt an earthquake before. I’m thinking what? You’ve never experienced an earthquake before? So as I listened to their interviews do you know what some of them said? “Nothing ever happens here in Virginia.” Sound familiar? I can’t tell you how many times I hear “Nothing ever happens here in Kings County.” Although that may be true to date, are you up on your earthquake preparedness?
